Phoenix
The Phoenix collection is a bold reinterpretation of the golden era of aviation, conceived as a tribute to one of history's most celebrated aircraft: the Lockheed Super Constellation. As an illustrator and multidisciplinary designer, and one of the founding partners of the MANEKIBOOK brand, I contributed personally to the design and innovations of the aircraft concept, owning the authorship alongside my partners.
Transatlantic COLLECTION
On the 3rd of December 1945, Lockheed Super Constellation L749 aircraft of TWA company soared in the sky of Washington. It made a flight arriving into Paris, having inaugurated a new era of recurrent transatlantic travels. Welcome to the world of Phoenix Transatlantic a collection of objects inspired by that wonderful time.

As the air route across the Atlantic was opened, globetrotters from all over the world rushed to the previously inapproachable points of the earth. Phoenix Safari collection is dedicated to the refined travels in the heart of Africa, sunsets with the parched savanna on the background and exotic leather aesthetics.
The project explores what the artifacts of transatlantic travel might look like if this iconic plane, once the pride of tycoon Howard Hughes's fleet, had evolved beyond the jet age to serve the modern global traveler.
At the heart of the collection lies the Phoenix Super Constellation GT, a retro-futuristic aircraft concept developed from the ground up over two years in a landmark collaboration with designers from Alfa Romeo. This conceptual machine serves as the design blueprint for every piece in the collection, blending the polished aluminum and worn leather aesthetic of the 1950s with a sophisticated, contemporary vision.

Phoenix Transatlantic is more than a collection of objects; it is a meticulously crafted narrative that bridges a legendary past with an imagined future, offering a tangible connection to the enduring allure of luxury travel.
Key Responsibilities & Contribution
- Concept & Narrative Development: Spearheaded the creation of the collection's core concept and narrative, including the central aircraft motif and thematic storyline (co-authored).
- Aesthetic Direction: Defined the overall creative vision, aesthetics, and key visual codes for the entire product line.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Recruited and directed a team of designers and 3D artists tasked with conceptualizing the Connie Super Constellation Lockheed aircraft model.
- Design & Drafting: Contributed directly to the design process by creating key design elements.
- Copywriting & Storytelling: Co-authored all descriptive texts and narrative content that accompanied and defined the collection.
- Visual Asset Creation: Developed and produced a full suite of visuonographic materials, including illustrations, key visuals, and mood boards to establish the project's visual identity (co-authored).
- Digital Curation & Design: Led the development of the project's digital presence, overseeing the architecture and design of the website and packaging all graphic assets for digital channels.
